At the end of June, Harwell Campus opened its doors to over ten thousand members of the public in celebration of Harwell Open Day. This science spectacular marked the campus' first open-day event since 2015 and demonstrated the ground-breaking work that takes place in Harwell to the public. This open-door event included STFC's facilities at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and the Technology Department.
Our staff worked hard to prepare activities, workshops, tours and displays which showed off our department's scientific and engineering capabilities while entertaining the whole family.
