In May, Daresbury Laboratory hosted an Oxfordshire EPICS meeting.
EPICS stands for the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System and is a set of software tools for developing complex distributed control systems for facilities such as particle accelerators, large experiments and major telescopes.
Members of the Oxfordshire EPICS community, including organisations such as UKAEA, Diamond Light Source, and STFC Nat Labs, meet three to four times a year to network and collaborate.
